Let's be honest. Wedding costs have become overwhelming, and for those with a small budget, it

reception packages at very reasonable

you and your guests an enjoyable time.

Boston DJ John Dudley will meet with you and your fiancé one month prior to your wedding day to
discuss in fine detail all that will occur during your reception. He will go over a reception checklist with
you, so you can decide what traditional reception features you want; which you want to skip; the order
in which you want them; the names and pronunciations of your wedding party; your special songs;
preferred music you'd like to hear throughout the evening; and more! This checklist has been
compiled with the help and experience of several veteran wedding DJ's to be comprehensive and

What is included in your wedding packages? Are there any surprise costs or fees?

Your wedding reception package will be discussed in detail with you at the forefront, and based on the
details and desires of your receptions, the price you are quoted will be
all-inclusive -- that means no
hidden fees or extra charges to worry about. The price you are quoted will include setup, breakdown,
travel, and performance fees. Most standard receptions include multi-colored dance lighting, use of
wireless microphone for toasts, and an array of more than 15,000 song selections to serve the
requests of you and your guests; and again, all of this is included in the price we quote you. DJ John
Dudley will often have one of his professional assistants present to help with setup, communication
with your photographers and videographers for your "big moments," and more.

What happens if you become ill?

In over seven years of performing in Massachusetts (and other New England states), DJ John Dudley
has never missed a single function, for any reason. We hope you find comfort in this fact. Boston DJ
John Dudley prides himself in his unparalleled commitment to his clients. In a rare case of catastrophic
illness or an act of God, DJ John will provide you with an alternate DJ that meets his threshold for
quality, standards, and professionalism, and will understand fully the fine details of your big day.

How can I contact you to inform you about changes in my reception?

Again, DJ John Dudley provides you the most personal service possible. You may call DJ John any
day, at any time - he provides you with his cell phone number! He answers his calls and messages
promptly.

How early do you arrive at my reception to setup?  

DJ John Dudley will arrive at your reception about one hour prior to the planned arrival of your guests.
This is to ensure that we have plenty of time to setup, sound test, and go over any last minute issues
you may have. Plus, rest even easier - we only book one reception per day, so you never have to
worry about us running late from another function.

Do we have to pay for the hour of setup time prior to my reception?

Absolutely not! The price you pay is based on the time we are performing during your reception

Do you require a deposit?

Yes, similar to other DJ and entertainment businesses, we do require a 20% deposit upon our arrival
at a performance agreement. This deposit ensures you of that particular date. The balance is due the
day of your reception, either by cash, check, or money order.

When everyone is dancing and having a good time, may we request you to play overtime
(over 4 hours)?
 

Again, absolutely yes! A reasonable hourly rate will be discussed and included in the contractual
agreement, and any overtime will simply be added to your balance. And, as mentioned above, DJ John
only commits to one reception per day, which makes him completely yours on your wedding day -- he'll
keep playing as long as you wish.

Do you accept musical requests from my guests? And what if I have a special rendition of a
song, may I bring it with me for you to play?

Certainly! DJ John Dudley possesses one of the most vast musical collections in all of Boston,
Massachusetts, comparable to any veteran reception DJ (and any DJ, period, for that matter!). It
contains music from the 1930's and 1940's through some of radio's most current hits. DJ John's
collection has approximately
12,000 songs, spanning across almost every genre. Although he won't
promise that can will have every requested song your guests may ask for, DJ John can promise two
things: (1) if he does have a song requested by one of your guests, he will play it (unless, of course,
you've specified for him to play that type of music); and (2) he will make sure to procure
in advance
any special selections you desire. If have you a special copy of a song you want played, simply
provide DJ John will a CD and consider it done. Click here for an

Will you arrive in the reception in formal attire?

Since weddings are once-in-a-lifetime event, DJ John Dudley will come dressed in a classic black  
tuxedo or simple, professional black suit, white dress shirt, and black tie, unless otherwise specified by
you at the pre-reception consultation. DJ John's assistants will also come dressed in either black suit
or dress, respectively.

Do you have photos and testimonials?

Yes, DJ John Dudley has many photos and testimonials from past functions and satisfied clients and
entertainment agents. Please click

Will you make obnoxious comments or embarrass us or our guests?

No. On your wedding day, you are the center of attention. You and your guests are treated with the
utmost respect.

Do you bring along inflatable instruments and silly hats for some of the guests to wear
while dancing?

...If you want them! Again, your reception will be done your way. If you want some plastic trumpets and
party hats, you'll get some; if you want things to be more formal, we will do it that way. The same thing
goes for doing interactive dances and songs while guests are at the dinner tables between meal
courses: we can do them, or we can skip them. You just let DJ John know!

In case something malfunctions, do you bring backup equipment?

Yes. Although DJ John Dudley's equipment is top of the line, checked frequently, and in great overall
condition, we will bring a back up amplifier, speakers, and CD players in case the unimaginable
happens.  

What if we have concerns about the coordination of our "big moments" at our reception?  

Every wedding reception is different, and we promise to do everything your way. At our pre-reception
consultation, we will offer you suggestions for the order of these moments, but of course, the
decisions are ultimately yours. At your pre-reception meeting,  we have suggestions on how to make
your reception run smooth.
